This has to be one of Disney’s greatest movies of all time. As I was watching this movie, I realized that Disney used to care. The story line in this movie is superb. It begins when a toy maker, Hiram Flaversham (voiced by Alan Young: aka the voice of Scrooge McDuck)Â is kidnapped by Fidget, a broken winged, peg-legged bat. The toymaker’s daughter, Olivia Flaversham, was hiding during the kidnapping. In order to find her daddy, Olivia seeks the help of the greatest mouse detective in all of England, Basil of Baker Street.

So, I read this game’s review from Game Informer Magazine. They gave the game a 7.5/10… I think they we’re too generous. I bought this at Best Buy for $50 for my Xbox 360. The graphics are the best part of the game. They look very a lot the characters from the new movie, which is a good thing in my book. The voice acting is also fairly decent. The four turtles are played by the same actors from the movie. The rest of the staff is a close substitute for the other characters. For example, Winters is played by a guy who closely sounds like Patrick Stewert. Now that I explained to you the good things about the game, I obligated to tell you my feelings about the rest of the game.

Being the eternal cheapass that I am, refusing to pay more then retail for a Nintendo Wii made sense, but with my stubborn decision and with the on going Wii shortages, I was having a hard time finding a Wii for the suggested retail price of $250. While I love my Nintendo games and I’m quite intrigued with the motion controls for the Wii, (pardon my French) there’s no fucking way I would ever pay the crazy amounts of money some people are asking for it. Being the stubborn person that I am, I went without a Wii for almost 5 months in till last Saturday.

So I was checking out AICN this morning and aside from the rather interesting news that the Highlander anime is pretty damn awesome and definately on my personal radar for future purchase, I noticed that a possibly genuine positive review had been sent in. Well shit, that’s nice really, the new Transformers movie has already generated several heated nerd wars in PCA central, with me being fairly ambivalent about the whole thing, Jango and Decepticreep being very against anything that wasn’t in the movie or the show (voices, canon, nerd shit etc…) and Baldy being for the movie since he’s a cynical bitch. A very tall one actually.
El Gordito had an opinion but my memory is too rotted by the swill he brings to drink to remember what it is, but then again he teaches 4th grade and has kids so we know he offers ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to society and therefore his opinion is void. And whiny.
