
I really started to think about this issue because of the horrors that happened at Virginia Tech. Everytime you read about a school shooting, the topics of video game violence comes up. You get people like Jack Thompson blantently blaming video games for the massacre. I have, and will always, take the stance that that is not the case. I’m no psychologist, but listening to CAGcast #72, it really got me to think about the issue.

We all hate ‘em, even though most of us are them. I’m talking about fanboys. I was reading Gamepro’s six-step guide to see if you are a blabbering idiotic brand obsessed video game fanboy. Am I a fanboy? Maybe a little, but the again we all are. That’s what makes this hobby of ours fun and interesting. I enjoy the rollercoaster ride of hype, slowly inching its way closer to the release date and finally you go over the first incline and after the ride’s over and the hype died down, was it worth the hype or are you now pissed and go on a tirade on the web?
