Okay, after all of the controversy with the Guitar Hero II, with the over pricing of downloadable content (which I don’t see ever going away), the changes to the controller buttons, the broken controllers and the ugly WIRED Gibson Explorer guitar controller in itself, I had to make a hard choose and that was to pass on the Guitar Hero II, for now. Well, it wasn’t really that difficult of a decision since I really hate the new controller and I’m glad that Guitar Hero III will have the Les Paul, but more on that later. So what corporate dickwad-of-a-genius decided that a wired controller, on a system where the standard is wireless BTW (you 360 core owners are suckers), would think it was a good idea to design a guitar after the oddly shaped Gibson Explorer? The damn thing must be a pain in the ass to store since it can’t even stand straight. Anyway I diverting from my point. I just don’t see value in Guitar Hero II and I know I’m in the minority on this issues, but I already played and beat Guitar Hero I & II on the PS2 and I just can’t justify to myself that double dipping would be worth it.
