Blue Dragon Demo Available Now!

Okay. I’ve been excited about this game after the first web videos and my recent “discovery†of Chrono Trigger. Well the good guys over at Xbox360fanboy had an interesting tidbit about the Blue Dragon Demo: the original date for the demo goodness was slated for July 20 but I stumbled across it available now for download on Xbox Live!! Apparently this demo is about 2 hours long and I can’t wait for my 360 to download this 1.1 gig monstrosity!! I still have my hope up for the original Japanese Dub and just read the subtitles since generally speaking, most English dud of anything Japanese usually sucks real hard (the only exception to this rule is the Metal Gear Solid Series). I can’t wait to try out this interesting J-RPG and hopefully one of these high profile games can actually keep my attention and snag the $60 that is burning a hole in my pocket unlike everything else right now (shrugs).
–Jangofatt (tired and glad that the 360 now has a hibernating download mode!)
[update: DOWNLOADED!!!]

Sigh, Chrono Break would have gotten me to buy a 360, but this does look pretty good.
I missed that you’d finally given Chrono Trigger a spin Jango. Considering your devotion when it comes to any game that takes a while to beat though, Im curious as to how far you’ve made it through?

Chrono is dead… I must search for him through out time and space… and I’m stuck.

Well you could go for a fun ending and try to beat the game without him though thats hard to do on the first run through. Of the 10+ endings, that’s one of my favorites, though the best is actually defeating Lavos in the battle where Crono normally dies.
Just be sure to play the millenium fair minigames with different leaders while you can and win additional prizes. Simon Sez alone has a different prize for every character.

I remember watching you beat that game 10 times in a row man, and I must say, it was exhausting.

I should have some free time tonight and I’m going to give this demo a try. Maybe I’ll get back into C.T. Give my SNES some lovin’.

Well if the damn game didnt have 13 endings, I wouldn’t have had to beat it so many times.

Chrono Trigger is probably my 2nd favorite RPG of all time (the first being Lunar SSSC)
what pisses me off is all the Final Fantasy fanboys(and girls) crying about Aeris dying in Final Fantasy VII
dude…in Chrono Trigger, your main character fuckin DIES! And this was how many years before FFVII?
But Jango…you know you can get Chrono back right…it depends if you did a bunch of crap at the beginning of the game though.
oh…on the Blue Dragon topic….yeah, I’m not impressed…Eternal Sonata looks fresh though.

I’m a bit luke warm towards this game but I hear the games gets awesome around the 6th hour so I might bite and pick it up. I don’t hate the game and the “summons” or whatever they’re called are sweet. The voice actiong isn’t as bad it could have been but I still hpe for the JPN sub to be released with the game.

What do I have to do to get Chrono back? Where do i even start? I tried to read FAQS but the plot order on those “guides” are all fucked up.
