This is what we would call ‘bad post’, but most of you hecklers would label it ‘most posts’, because you are diseased keyboard trolls and spanking it to nasty amature videos instead of being SUPPORTIVE AND NICE! HA! I should be working on me and Jango’s SUPER SECRET PROJECT OF AWESOME, but as usual I am not only distracted by silly bright objects but the completely wacky sound my cd drive is making whilst it plays me some tunes. It sounds like heartbreak and snappings! Or a jet engine, that is the the drive not the music, the music is beautiful.
Whatever, Insert Credit, a truly glorious light in these shadowed times, had brief mention of a upcoming Raiden compilation for the Xbox 360, which just goes to prove that for some bizarre and awesome reason, Xbox is becoming the shmup machine of the future. There are many ports and originals a’happening with our loud and noisy vertical-or-horizontal-if-you-please gaming machine. In fact it was a very brief mention!
Been meaning to post this for ages – Success has a series of screens of the Raiden Fighters games, which are coming to the 360 on the Raiden Fighters Aces collection. There’s also a trailer that just went up yesterday, thus making the news new again! Why does it show two games running in tandem next to each other? That’s a bit of a mystery…it’d be rather interesting if you could play two games at once on the same console, but I doubt it! [Insert Credit]
That’s brief!
Raiden is just the newest drop from the veritable storm, and if you sense sarcasm, then you my friend are maybe correct. Advancing!
So, no word on if it will be released stateside, though if it is, you can bet that it will have a new, stupider title and some horrible box art, because evidently America loves horrible box art. Yes I am looking at you Senko No Ronde or what were they calling you? War Bats? Space Shoot? Ah yes! WAR TECH! Also know as fucking retarded.
Still, if and when and I wouldn’t have to worry if Microsoft wasn’t being a dick and making games region controlled, but who cares at least it may come out. So, a Raiden complilation: Raiden Fighter Aces and it looks very awesome.
Arcade Resistance chimes in with:
duckroll on Neogaf has been kind enough to translate a bit of the information on the Raiden Fighters (Xbox 360) article that I referenced earlier. It’s important to note that I don’t have the article first hand so I can’t verify all of the details, but it comes from an extremely reliable source who has been working off scans of the magazine.
First and foremost, the game is not an Xbox Live Arcade title as I initially assumed. When you just see a heading for “Raiden Fighters” on the Xbox 360, you can’t help but think that we’re getting a straight emulated release on the XBLA. What we are getting is something much better.
Raiden Fighters is going to be a collected release under the name Raiden Fighters Aces. Included on the disks will be Raiden Fighters, Raiden Fighters 2, and Raiden Fighters Jet. The package will also include a superplay DVD of the games. Not many additional details were revealed from the original source article, but it is known that the game will be featuring a TATE mode as well as support for Xbox Live replays and score rankings. The team handling the development of the game is still unclear at this time.
TATE! Super-play! Those two words alone almost guarantee we’ll never see it! ANGST! And they probably, unlike me, know what the hell they are talking about. Here’s hoping!

I hope it’s better than Raiden III.
