Furthering my like of Shane Bettenhausen because he actually sounds like he knows what he’s talking about, here’s a video with a annoyingly addicting jingle for the 1Up show but who cares about all that, I just want to see Street Fighter IV.
So after waiting all day for he shitty Gamevideos website load up this video, I was finally able to gander at the early build of SF4 because my setup is light years better than my work computer/network/internet connection.

I’ve been feeling real crumby lately and I been having the “using all of my strength to keep my head afloat†kind of a week. With Christmas being over but that doesn’t stop customer’s machines from failing and with the cold dry weather; all I’ve been hearing from my guys is shit tons of complaining. Uhh.Â

Most people would agree, at this point, gaming and the gaming culture is damn prevalent in both it’s appeal to all ages and it’s ability to cause controversy, whether on purpose using a carefully (or idiotic) crafted marketing campaign or by pushing the boundaries of culture or taste within the game itself. Today, I’m going to look at some of games more infamous and controversial moments, some of them famously blown out of proportion, some of them egg on the face of the publishing company itself, some contrived, some undeserved, and finally some so mind-blowingly insulting or ill-chosen that I still can’t believe a person thought it could possibly be a good idea to go forward on.
So, join me as we walk on the sleazier side of the gaming avenue; the lights are red, the windows are showcasing naughty bits and we got time and money to burn. Onward! Continue reading When Gaming Gets Offensive, Part One: Just For The Fuck Of It.

I’m sad to admit that I never had the first run G.I. Joe toys. I was -1 when the toy line launched. I really got into the G.I. Joes in the late 80s and early 90s, so I missed out on a lot of the first run characters. Jango had a few of the first run characters, but due to the little brother syndrome, many of them got “battle damaged” fighting the lawnmower. So lately, I’ve been obsessed with the 25th anniversary G.I. Joe toys. The individual packages are a throwback to the original (80s) Joes.
This, basically, sparked a conversation with Jango and me. He was telling me that the original commercials were animated; which made kids think there was a cartoon to follow the toy line. So i scanned youtube to find some of the the 80s commercials (and even some commercials from my era). A lot of them were kind of neat; some were extremely funny. Boy, oh, boy its funny seeing things you thought were cool when you were a kid turning out to be lame. Oh well, you can’t deny your childhood. Enjoy!
