Ah, Metal Gear Solid… the game series that I hate to love. Not only do I find the controls to be a tad bit frustrating, but I love to hate the entire long drawn out cinematic sequences. Yet like a beaten dog, I scurry back to play some more because I equate movies as rewards and like Pavlov’s Dogs, I begin to salvation when I hear David Hayter becoming Solid Snake. I close my eyes and I can hear him saying, “Metal Gear!?†over and over again.  Ahh, it’s like electric sex for my ears.
I still need to finish the Snake Eater and I’m starting to feel the pressure now that Sony has officially announced that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriot will be dropping to these shores on June 12 (four days before my birthday). I don’t care if this big story broke yesterday; I’m just getting around to writing about it and that well enough. Now let me be while I close my eyes and relive a few great moments from the Metal Gear series and not stress out so I can get around to finishing up MGS: Snake Eater.

Looks like it’s time to play through the first three games again as a refresher. Gotta finish Portable Ops first, though. Been slacking on that game for months and that was the reason I re-bought a PSP in the first place.
