Okay, last week Apple announced that the iPhone could play games. So what right? Well I didn’t really think too much about it but since my wife’s iPhone is severely deprived of some gaming and she refuses to hack her phone, this newest feature will fix this probelm and it will give me something to do when I’m waiting outside the women’s dressing room as she tries on new dresses.
Here’s an interesting video of SPORE that has been ported over to the iPhone, with emphasize on PORTED. This will not be a stripped down crappy cell phone game. I haven’t been too excited about this game because it feels like Spore will never come out but this little demo has me more curious in the iPhone port than the actual computer game. The customization seems to be there and using the accelerometer to move your creature is a nice touch. I’m now more intrigued about the possibilities with gaming on an device like the iPhone with processing power of a mini computer. I’ll have to convince my wife to download this when it becomes available. Now where’s my Card Fighter Clash for the iPhone?

I can afford all those things, but the iPhone is trendy hipster shit, the PS3 has yet to debut a must have title, and most sports cars are manufactured in foreign countries where I can only assume everyone is a midget.
I’m not going to be Apple’s mouthpiece, but the hardware on the iPhone is topnotch and my wife is using every aspect of this trendy device in her daily living. I can finally throw away all those useless PDAs, calendar books, and iPod. I like how it can actually do real web surfing and I love the new multipoint touch pad, especially since it’s an integrated feature in the new macbook mouse pad. Does the iphone have it share of problem? Yeah, no device is perfect, but I like the idea of having a real powerful gaming platform that you carry with you on your phone. I think it’s kind of cool, that’s all.
Now the PS3? The only must have title is coming out in June (MGS4) but I’m having loads of fun with the newest Ratchet and Clank game and they’re a bunch of multiconsole releases like COD4 that makes this system worth the price tag. I’m waiting for Drakes Fortune to go down a bit more before I pick up that game.

Sopre is not out yet on any console and my wife drops her iPhone all the time and it works like a champ. I’m warming up to the PS3 and I still want a sports car but i guess I’ll settle with my Bug.
Never said I cared, just felt the need to hate on things I can afford. And while I’m indifferent to consumer tech-crap, I’m all for real technology like solar cells, biodiesel, fusion reactors and RF/EMP protection. Especially that last one since it’s why I can afford all the aforementioned crap.
