I’ve never been a huge fan of snaking but I know I’ve had to use it more than once on Mario Kart: DS just so I can keep up with the race. I’m looking forward to this game more and more now, as long as this nugget of info is true.
The second big difference (in Mario Kart Wii compared to the rest of the series) is the removal of snaking. Ever since the N64 game, practically every Mario Kart game has included the ability to get a speed boost by waggling the controls left and right as you powerslide. This has finally been scrapped, and now your speed boost is determined by how long you can hold the slide.
This game is so going to rock! Any complaints on the change? Is this simple change just sacrilege?

I like the “drifting” in Mario Kart but I dont abuse it…
I didnt plan on playing it online, so I’m kinda angry about it…but now if I chose to play online, it wouldnt be a total assbeatfest.
