
As far as wrestling games are concerned during the SNES/Super Famicom era, the one that reigned head and shoulders above the rest was the Fire Prowrestling series. In terms of sheer playability, customization and authenticity to its source, Fire Prowrestling was the best back then and continues to be now. In 1996, Konami saw the potential to mimic the success of Fire Pro and produce a wrestling title of their own. ‘Mimic’ would be the key word there, as their title would end up playing very similarly, with their own touches and quirks to have it stand out on its own.

Gametrailers comparison videos are great because they always spark a fanboy flame war of global proportions but this video has raised the stakes to universal proportions. Looks like someone at GameTrailers f’ed up with the comparison vids by comparing PS3 footage with (get this) PS3 footage! So now the angry plague of the frogs, locust and flies have been casted onto the interwebs and justice must be served! What does that mean? Hell I don’t know. I never heard of “Grid†so whatever.
