Big Boss Emblem Achieved

Yes, folks. I achieved even what I thought would be slightly impossible. It took 3 days of constant trial-and-error, as well as some of the most foul language I could possibly utter from my lips. But, I did it, with a much faster time than I had anticipated. I was thinking that I would barely squeak by, but the later parts of the game can be plowed through. Act 4, in particular, is mostly a breeze since it is guarded by unmanned drones that can be immobilized by chaff grenades.
What exactly does the Big Boss ranking net you, you might ask? Well, aside from being the highest possible rank in the game, it nets you an iPod track, a special FaceCamo and a variety of weapons, including the Patriot that The Boss wielded and the Stealth camouflage. The Steath camo itself can be purchased in-game, but everything else you earn must either be achieved by getting of the 7 other Elite Ranks or just beating the game and getting the Big Boss rank, thereby giving you the other ones by proxy.
So, what is there left to do in the game? Well, unlock the rest of the emblems, actually. Doing so will unlock ‘Snake Eater’ for the in-game iPod. Goddamn, this game is good.

So is it true that the soldiers cowers at you when you have the big boss face on?

Yes, yes they do. They will go into alert real quick, then realize you have no skin on your face and then freak out. They will continue whimpering for a while, then finally just pass out.

On the Playstation Network, is there a way to see how many others worldwide have achieved this?
I bet you are the first in Vegas to do so.

Sadly, no.
And I’m sure someone in town beat me to it by a while. Although, the thought of me being the only one would be pretty awesome. XD
