Pineconeattack!

OK, I likes me some Metal Gear and MGS4 was a blast, but I wouldn’t consider myself a diehard fan of the Metal Gear series. I love it but not enough to own anything from the game series. But what if you are like Ancient Flounder? What can a hardcore fan do to spend shit loads of cash all the while helping out Child’s Play? Well the answer is right here on this auction. Not only do you get a pretty slick looking autograph PlayStation 3 with the LED bling treatment and an ugly custom controller, but you also get a briefcase with a shit ton of MGS merch like the duck clock and some Japanese drink.  It can all be yours for over $10,000 USD (with 15% going to charity).  Yowsers!

While I would love to have an autograph something from Hideo Kojima (and I guess to a lesser extent: Yumi Kikuchi), I’m not sure if I can consciously spent that kind of money. Hell I would rather fly to Japan and try to set up a meeting with Hideo Kojima himself and then donate the rest to Child’s Play.  I would probably still come out ahead.  Man with $10k I can buy a whole lot of paint and LEDs and make a lot of custom consoles, but no matter how much I’m trying to rationalize this incredibly outrageous auction, I can’t keep the little green envious monster inside because I really really want this machine.

So what videogame related thing would you spend 10k on?

Me? I would buy Medieval Madness and expand my house to make a bigger game room. Sadly after buying Medieval Madness, I would theoretically have spent over half of it (damn) so I guess scratch the idea on expanding my house…
