So I was window shopping at BigBadToyStore, as I so often do, when I stumbled upon this: Masterpiece Grimlock! For those of you who don’t know what the Masterpiece series is, it’s a Transformer toy line that is made with extreme detail and articulation to look as much as the cartoon as possible. They generally stand about 12in – 14in high and is made with a lot of die cast metal. The only problem with this series is that they are extremely expensive. This figure is on pre-order sale for $143.99. Yikes! It’s a mixed blessing being a transfromer fan.

Here’s some good news for the one person I know who is:

2) rich enough to import a Japanese Wii and a copy of Capcom’s super crazy fanboy mega melee fighter of epic proportions: Tasunoko vs. Capcom.
There will be new joysticks for the Wii and if joysticks are supported then that means classic controller is supported so for those who prefer the d-pad over a joystick then your in luck: no waggle controls for you.

Okay let me be quite blunt; I didn’t like Resistance: Fall of Man. I thought the game was generic and boring and I just couldn’t get into the Demo. Yeah, I never actually played through the first game. Silly I know but when I got my PS3 I wasn’t looking for another FPS game to play. That’s what the Xbox 360 was for. I just pass over this game and played through Heavenly Sword instead and now I just use my PS3 to play PlayStation 1 RPGs.

I found this cool little demake of Megaman 7 which makes Megaman 8 the new black sheep in terms of graphical continuity. This is the stripped down version of Megaman 7 all recreated with the NES make over. Ironically the game looks and plays much better than its SNES big brother and fix issues many fans have been complaining about since day one. I haven’t been able to play much since I’m still at work and I’m not sure if this game is even compatible with my Mac BUT the game seems faithful to the source and as a freebie, I’m not going to complain all that much. My only grip is that they didn’t make this “port†based on actual NES hardware spec, so no PowerPak love for me.

True, it’s not the true remake sequel of Metroid II but it looks like a whole new game created by the same guy who is recreating the Metroid II fan-sequel, which should make the hardcore Super Metroid fans very happy.
