Decepticreep Finally Gets An iPhone

iphone

I first decided I wanted to get a personal cell phone two years ago. I decided to go with Sprint because my girlfriend and a lot of my family already had service with them. Shortly after that, Apple announced the iPhone and then shortly after that, my iPod died. So for almost two years, I used my PSP as an MP3 player just to listen to my podcast such as the Cag Cast, Cag Foreplay, and Retronauts (RIP). Needles to say, it was annoying. The PSP is too bulky to use as a casual MP3 player.

Finally though, my two year contract with Sprint is up, and I signed two years of my life to AT&T just to get the new 3G iPhone. I already downloaded some of the free apps which includes some games like Pac-Man Lite. Let me tell you, using a virtual D-pad is weirder than hell. You take your sense of touch for granted when you play this game. I also downloaded the original Atari 2600 game, Adventure. The game uses the tiltometer, and I never really played Adventure before. I quickly deleted that game. With the wacked out control schemes and the annoying duck-dragons, I just couldn’t stomach it anymore.

I’m not the first PCAer to get an iPhone (that honor goes to Ancient Flounder), but I do plan on downloading more retail games in the future and talking about them. I plan on getting Rolando, Katamari Damacy, and maybe even Monkey Ball. But as for right now, I’ll stick with the free apps considering I just spent $200 dollars for the phone and obligated myself to pay $80 a month for the bill. But you will be hearing from me more in the future regarding the iPhone.

  • Funny that this pops up, since I’m probably about ready to go buy a Blackberry. lol Especially since AT&T downgraded their EDGE service, so I need a 3G phone and I don’t wish to start a new contract just to get a 3G iPhone.

Still, despite the flaws, the iPhone is a nifty device. I’m hoping I can still use mine as an iPod after I change over to the new phone.

  • well see, i forgot to mention that all i have is an iMac, hence the blackberry is useless to me.
