LittleBig Contra is a NeoGAF collaborative project aimed at delivering the definitive Contra experience to LittleBigPlanet. Our goal was to recreate each of the 8 stages of Contra from the NES using the tools available to us in the LittleBigPlanet level editor.

Starfy was one of those cute Japanese platformers that got its start on the Gameboy Advance but for some strange reason it was never released here in the States. It’s a fun hybrid platformer that seems to have been influence from the likes of Super Mario World and the Kirby platformers. I had the pleasure to play through the second Starfy game back when Play-Asia had some ridiculous sale on brand new copies for like $10. Sadly, I found my box but I have no clue where my cart went.

Okay Nintendo is pretty good at shoving shitty controllers our way. Anyone remember the NES Max, Power Glove, Power Pad, Super NES Advantage & the plain old N-64 controller?
Well it looks like Big N is back to their old tricks but this time they finally came up with something worth your time. [...]

So I bought a new Xbox 360 in January with my X-mas gift cards and everything is peachy and sweet. I’ve upgraded my 20 GB hard drive to the massive 120 GB and I only used my DVD drive to upload games onto it. The drive sound a little “different†from my older out of warranty console but I didn’t think anything of it. I figured it was the new drive or something. I began to realize that there might be something wrong with my system when I tried get in on some Street Fighter III: Third strike action against Decepticreep but strangely my Xbox copy of Street Fighter Anniversary Collection wouldn’t play.
Hmmm… (Cue in dramatic mystery music)

Thank the maker! A Left 4 Dead patch is out of the Xbox 360. Below is a long list of tweaks and other minor adjustments to make your zombie infested zombie apocalypse. This update brings the 360 version alongside the PC version in terms of bug and hack fixes, plus evens out some of the initial disrepreancies between the two teams on Versus. So far it seems like some changes are very noticeable on the Infected side such as: being able to view your teammates on the UI and the Tank’s bashable objects glowing brightly, however on the forums it seems that many of the supposed changes aren’t taking effect or even changed yet, so maybe some more changes are on the way? Unfortunately, we still have to wait for more new levels as those were announced coming this spring. So anyone up for some Left 4 Dead this weekend?

Braid is a fun extensional game that I feel needs to be evangelized by gamers who want something more from Xbox Live Arcade. Braid is a visually stunning and is a blast to play. Braid is should be, no needs to be, experienced by everyone because this was the first game to change my perception of [...]

On my quest to pick up a copy of Sonic’s Ultimate Collection I saw Retro Game Challenge over in the DS section at GameStop. I’ve been glossing over the ad in EGM (RIP) and never really put much thought into ever picking up this game, but after reading several preview articles about RGC, I soon realized the there has been a lot of buzz around Namco’s recent neo-retro DS game and it might warrant my attention and hard earn dollars. I almost felt obligated to pick this game up and add it to my already heaping backlog pile and ultimately I said, “Fuck it†and picked up this game and gave it a go on my DS.
