Well sort of… From what I’ve been able to gather, there will be a new Power Instinct game that will be getting an arcade release but there a whole lot of reused sprites and backgrounds from Power Instinct Matrimelee & the faux sequel but more like and upgrade PS2 port Shin Goketsuji Ichizoku: Bonno Kaiho. I’m split 50/50 on this news. Part of me is excite that there is another wacky Power Instinct fighter to play especially since there a huge momentum for 2D fighters post Street Fighter IV but then the other half is a savvy gamer who wants a complete reworking because what’s the point to playing the new game if it’s 80% the same?
