Pineconeattack, or PCA is a semi-collaborative effort of sheer idiocy, perpetrated on teh interbutts for our own sick amusement, with articles about gaming, pop culture/fad and anything we find funny. Seriously, escape while you can.

Enabling your avatar in Pineconeattack!

tigsdsdd

Alright, so after (sadly) a few hours of following a looping trail where WordPress sent me to Gravatar and Gravatar sent me to WordPress and so on and so on, I finally found the STUPID FUCKING sentence that allows us to enable avatars on our site.

Fuck this shit is annoying at times.

Anyways. What you need to do is create and account at Gravatar and the email you use there needs to match the one you use here; or if you prefer, you can add more email addresses to your new Gravatar account. Now, the idea behind Gravatar (now owned by WordPress) is that you use one main place (Gravatar) to store or link avatars for global use, as long as wherever you are posting supports Gravatars.

Basically you will have the same avatar wherever you go. And you can easily add more, change them, whatever.

So, by signing up there, you should automatically see your avatar added to our comments, if a bit small. Working on that right now.

I’m making a page that will have all sorts of wee little bits and bobs of my artwork, or artwork that is considered ‘official’ Pineconeattack! so you can use those for your gravatar if you wish, or you can just upload or link whatever.

There is a small amount of trust involved here though ok? I can set the ratings of the avatars, and they are currently set to ‘R’ and while the majority of our readership is adult, I’d like to keep it at that rating, so feel free to use whatever you wish, just keep it fairly classy ok? No anal pics. No goatse. Etc. People breaking that rule are going to be warned, ridiculed and then ban hammered, and since I have yet to ban anyone that wasn’t trying to market ‘hotsexxxygurls’ to our readership I’d rather never have to.

Ok:

1) Go to Gravatar

2) Create account with or by adding the email you use here (you can change it in your options if you wish)

3) Upload your own, link whatever or make me feel happy by using some official ones.

4) Post freely, all excited that we are suing a feature from 2005 =)
