Braid Soundtrack now for sale

Braid is just one of those games that I will always evangelize to new Xbox Live user who are looking for a great game to play. I don’t want to come off as a pretentious “indie fag” but Braid is definitely one of the best independent game with such high polish and incredible time manipulation mechanic that I had no problem dropping the Microsoft space bucks to have it on my hard drive. It’s what capitalism is all about. You like a person’s work; you give them money for it to show your appreciation.

One of the key components that made Braid such an incredible experience was the soundtrack and being a pseudo collector of gaming soundtracks, but there was just one little problem; I couldn’t actually buy the soundtrack, until now. If you head over to Megatune, you can actually listen to the whole soundtrack (which is what I’m doing sat the moment) to decide on if you would prefer direct download or a physical CD. So once again to show my appreciation to the hard working people who composed one of the most laid back beautiful pieces of modern classical music, I purchased the CD because I’m a physical media whore.

I never actually bought an album from Megatune but I have to say I like the site. When you make your selection it asks you how much you are willing to pay for the album. The recommended price is $8, but you can be a cheap skate and pay $5 all the way up to $18. Half of the proceeds will go directly to the artist so the more you give the more they earn. After I paid for my CD, it gave me the option to download the music while I wait for my CD to ship. So I’m downloading the WAV files because I CAN.  I have a hard time explaining why I love this soundtrack so much since it’s not remotely my style of music, but it is so soothing and at very least, everyone should at least sample the music.  Go and show your support and download the soundtrack and Braid.
