This weeks episode was all about Gameboys, our favorite memories of them, best games, music and etc. From bitching about the original’s iconic (if crap) green screen, to the wonder and issues with the new DSi, we had it all.
Plus: you get a chance to hear Jango lose his fucking shit thanks to Decepticreep and myself. How cool is that?
-Tenno
The Gameboy was the one device that almost every kid in America eventually got for their birthday, Christmas, Bar mitzvah, sweet 16, you name it. It was the children system that was affordable in the trying times that was the late eighties and early nineties.
Now listen to us pulling random prices out of our asses and just soak up on the nostalgia of the best handheld ever invented. Being the sucker who bought each and every iteration of the ever evolving portable handheld, I’m surprised to say that I don’t regret any of it. This show is jammed packed with awesomesauce so sit back and enjoy a heaping serving of retro amazingness while you sit back in your beanbag and rocking out to chip tunes with your rose colored glasses. Enjoy the good (Me losing my cool) and the bad (Tenno’s head getting bigger and bigger)
Enjoy this week’s show and congratulations to this week’s winner of the Quantum of Solace (Xbox 360) game and good luck everyone on this week’s retro give away. For details, you have to listen to the whole Pinekast, ha!

I aim to serve.
God, I feel like I ramble when I speak.
Here’s a link to the game I was talking about, Heiankyo Alien. It apparently had a Super Famicom verison, too.
i found it to be one of the funniest episode yet
LOL alright I’ll drop you guys an email tonight. I just always listen to your show at work where I can’t send outside emails.
I remember having a big love/hate relationship with the Kid Icaris for GB. As for odd Gameboy games, anyone play one called Penguin Wars?
Nope can’t say that I have but it does look fun as heck.

Also anyone with a Glen Learner avatar is a true Las Vegas local.
Indeed. Any lawyer that advertises about getting you your money fast while holding a baseball bat is classy in my book.
Lazy listeners. For shame. It looks like no one wants the Super Game Boy. Sharpen up your batliffs because it looks like Decepticreep, Ancient Flounder & Tenno are going to have to fight to the death for this Super Game Boy if no one here wins it.
Give it to Macc.
I don’t know that fight to the death thing sounds like an interesting premise. The winner gets the Super Game Boy and all the glory and women that comes with it.
I don’t think Decept’s fiance’ would like that one.
[...] Pinekast 15 [...]
I had that monstrous accessory that had the speakers, magnifying glass, light, and shitty joystick. I also had some ginomrous battery pack thing. All on the old brick sized Gameboy. and proceeded to try playing that monstrosity while rollerskating which resulted in my falling face first (gravity + ginormous “portable” system = fail) and all that happened was one of the speakers almost broke off (was still hanging on by it’s wires XD)
Also the GBA SP was like a Visa card…I never left home without it
Ancient Flounder wins for mentioning our failed experiment and epic hand and forearm workout of playing Kirby tilt and tumble with the gameboy player in the Gamecube XD
I never had that all in one GB accessory, but I did have the magnifying lamp, the extra speakers that went on the bottom, and the battery pack. Using them all at once made that monstrous thing seem so much better. I mean the Nintendo ‘official’ battery pack was just an AC cord with a big battery brick in the middle of it.
BTW thanks again for the game. It was nice to meet you guys (Ancient for a second time). Also thanks for the CPS1 volume control tip. I can’t believe I did not notice it before.
