Here are the facts (ie: Jango’s opinions which should be facts).
SNK is awesome and produced, developed and distributed some of the world’s greatest arcade and home console games from my youth. There is a big following of all things SNK and Neo-Geo.com is the forum site to prove it because a user by the tag of Massimiliano, with the blessing from Shawn the Administrator of Neo-Geo.com, did an interview at SNKP headquarters in Japan with Yoshihito Koyama, which revealed some interesting bits of new on how modern SNK(P) runs their business, what SNKP actually owns in intellectual properties and who is the oldest employee of SNK. It’s a fun read if you are a fan of SNK which most of us are and I really dig the photos of Esaka Station which was the inspirations of the backgrounds in both KoF 96 & 98.
SNK Playmore interview – Part 1 Get an inside look at current day SNK Playmore with Yoshihito Koyama, SNK’s most veteran employee (on board since ’91). This preliminary thread was opened to gather ideas from the community for specific questions for this event and this polished article is the culmination of those efforts. Special thanks go to Massimiliano Macri of Italy (Neo-Geo.com forum member massimiliano) who conducted this comprehensive interview with SNKP at their Japan headquarters on December 26th, 2008.
I can’t wait for the second part which hopefully reveal some awesome news on upcoming games and maybe some more King of Fighters XII news. There is just one thing that bothers me about this article. The use of polished. Is this some subtle jab towards the RetroGamer rag?
