Teknoman in (US ver.) Tastunoko vs. Capcom

953921_090909_embed006So over at Gamespot, they have a nice little collection of screen-shots of the first of four new characters to be released in the North American release of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. The new character is Teknoman, or Tekkaman Blade, as he is known in Japan. That does that mean to you?  It means we can actually have a Tekkaman vs Tekkaman Blade battle royale!

So, with online play and the new characters, it looks like my favorite Wii fighter will be getting a repurchase. My only question is will the Japanese version be getting DLC for the new characters so I can save a few bucks?

I also imported but I’ll happily buy it again. New characters and online make this a must.

  • From Shoryuken.com:

Thanks to forum member mumu, and the web programmer at Capcom Japan, we have discovered the 5 new characters that will be in Tatsunoko vs Capcom US version.

    The roster is as follows:

Mega Man Zero (or Zero Gouki)
    Frank West
    Yatterman #2
    Joe Asakura
    Tekkaman Blade

Capcom has since plugged the leak on their site, but the damage is done. Check out this thread for more information.

NO. FUCKING. WAY. This totally made my week!

  • Of all the characters Capcom could add, though…why Frank West? I would’ve gone with someone like Arthur from Ghosts n Goblins, another Darkstalkers character or motherfucking Mike Haggar.

  • Frank West is an awesome choice. It’s totally off the beaten path. Megaman Zero is a waste. It should have been Phoenix Wright.

  • Well, I think the original text they found in the site just said ‘Zero’. People are speculating it might be Zero Gouki from Cyberbots. That wouldn’t really make much sense, though, unless they add another giant character on the Tatsunoko side.

And off the beaten path would be like including someone from Muscle Bomber or the guy from Trojan. Now that’s obscure and off the beaten path.
