Club Nintendo: Zelda Posters

Last Friday I was greeted at my door was a cardboard tube lying on its side. Curiously I rushed inside to start picking way at the packing tape frantically wanting to expose the delicious colorful center.

I didn’t order any thing or did I? After exposing the carefully packed parcel, I was happy to see my Zelda posters that I order through Club Nintendo has finally arrived. The three posters are a sight to be seen in person. The colors are vivid and bright and hopefully, after getting them framed, will complement my other gaming posters inside my home arcade.

The poster that I really was after was the Link Timeline poster. It shows every iteration of the Link from the original NES game to the most recently released DS game: Phantom Hour Glass. What surprised me about this poster is that the Big N did not edit away the cross from Link’s shield.

The Phantom Hour Glass poster looks all sort of happy and I dig the fact that Link is not the focal point of that piece.

The surprising poster that I absolutely love is the Twilight Princess poster. I will still stand behind my opinion that Twilight Princess is not a great game and that any & all references with “twilight” should be banned from pop culture has not skewed my appreciation of wonderful art. Wow, this poster just looks so damn beautiful.

So after spending 350 coins, I’m now stuck with a balance of 470 and wonder if I should just blow all of my points or hang on to them and hope there will be something for actual value like a SNES Wii controller, you know, something I can actually use for gaming. Too bad that still hasn’t arrived to the North American market.
