This is the reason why I fucking hate doing RPGs for GOTM. I always have to cram at the end of the month and I don’t have time time play games that I really want to play, watch more Dr Who or at very least do articles. So I went to EVO for about an hour. Yup. Just one. And for a bunch of you, you’re probably all like, ‘Whoaaaaaa there Tenno! You were at the gaming Mecca of Las Vegas! You fricking live there even! WHAT THE! HELL!’ Hey baby, I’m a rolling stone. And by that I mean that even aside from all that awesome gaming on hand, I just am not that big of a fighting game guy to geek out properly at events like this. It was a great match between Daigo Umehara (Ryu) vs Ricky Ortiz (Rufus). The matches were close but Daigo was about to take the tournament with a 3-1 victory over Ricky Ortiz. Enjoy the video below, while it last. –Jangofatt
It’s not a hidden fact that I was a Marvel vs. Capcom 2 hater for a long time. This was for various reasons, but it really was molded by the fact that I hung around too many people that bashed it and I ended up falling in that line. For the past year and a half, though, I’ve grown to really like it. Sure, it’s competitive scene houses some real dumb-asses and the game itself has issues, but it’s just a lot of damn fun. With myself growing to enjoy it more and more, it made me really excited to see that Marvel vs. Capcom 3 would finally become a reality over a decade after MvC2 hit arcades.
It’s in sunny ass Las Vegas, like normal. Why? ’cause Vegas is awesome! We’ll be there. We’ll be bringing machines for people to play on. We’ll be taking pictures and interviewing people. We’ll be sponsoring someone whose in the Super Street Fighter 4 matches (and you better fucking win…). We’ll be buying exclusive Meatbun EVO shirts. We’ll be all like, cursing and drinking and shit. We’ll maybe probably not even close fuck you I’ll make them this time! No fuck that. Liar! EAT SHIT! MAYBE even make some PCA special shirts for the event. Want one? Better hope I finish Bizzaro’s first! Or else I’d be mean as shit to make more of anything! Want one? Make a great argument for me to waste my time doing so. Then hand me cash!
