'Otomedius Excellent' Looks To Be Coming Here!

A sequel of Otomedius Gorgeous looks to be making an appearance States side based off of this forum post. Of course, Famitsu also has some screen shots confirming the upcoming sequel and while the original Otomedius wasn’t the most visually impressive shooter that  took advantage of the Xbox 360 hardware, it did a good [...]

‘Las Vegas Super Con’ Coming This May…

While I’ve never been into otaku conventions, it was brought up to my attention from PCA user ZeroSnake that on May 21-23, there will be an anime convention of sorts to celebrate your inner nerd. The website is vague to say the least but from what I’ve been able to gather there will anime, manga, comics, [...]

Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom Quick Impressions

What can I tell you, it’s an excuse to turn on my Wii. I liked the game ok when I played it Jango’s house when he imported the Japanese version, but now that the game is translated, I love the game! Going through the instruction manual in English and knowing how to do moves [...]

What is that there Tatsunoko?

If you’ve been regularly visiting this site, as you well should, you have no doubt noticed the game Tatsunoko vs. Capcom pop up in articles and on the Pinekast. As excited as I am, I have to admit a bit of self ignorance. I do know a few of the characters from the Tatsunoko brand, but [...]

Jango’s Surprising Prize.

Yesterday after a long day, I was greeted with a tube sitting in front of my door. I was so exhausted I almost stepped on the darn thing. It a good thing I didn’t. So today, feeling a bit more refreshed, I decided to see what kind of a [...]

Sword of the Stranger: One Night Only 02/05 @ 7:30pm

I don’t know anything about this movie except one very important thing: it’s a samurai anime on the big screen here in Vegas. Okay, you got me, that is enough for me to spend 103 minutes and check out this film. The art style looks cool and my wife mention something about [...]

Valkyria Chronicles Anime

Well it looks like the Japanese are getting an anime on this amazing PS3 gem coming this April.  Gone are the water coloring textures but to make up for this indiscretion, the original voice actors will reprise their role for the upcoming TV show.  Sadly, I don’t think this will ever come out in [...]

Adding to the Street Fighter Hype With Another Trailer or Two…

I love me some Street Fighter and the closer I get to February 17, the more unbearable the wait is becoming, so tid-bits like this video below is driving my insane! First of all I’m bringing up my usual complaint about how the characters sound horrible in English but it looks like the new DVD/Blu-Ray that comes with the collector edition will fill in the storyline gaps. Too bad the animation style looks like crap.

I’m happy to see all the new characters in motion and I rally can’t wait to see if Dan was been improved any. I’m not a real Dan fan but after all this time, the dude got to be a better fighter, no?

Resident Evil: Degeneration… Not My Cup of Tea

re: d

So I bought Resident Evil: Degeneration at Wal-Mart the other day based on Yunie’s review. I’m a fan of the RE games. I beat all the main RE games from Resident Evil: Zero to Resident Evil: Four and Code Veronica. I have to say… this movie did leave a bad taste in my mouth. I agree with some of the things Yunie said, for example, it’s better than the Milla Jovovich movies, but that’s not saying much.

Tatsunoko Character Openings

Finally, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is out and available for the masses to play.  I managed to get The Homebrew Channel up and running on my Wii as well, along with a burned copy of TvC to play on it, using Backup Loader 0.3 (yeah, I know, shame on me; call me cheap for not wanting to shell out the $70 NCSX wants for it).  Needless to say, it’s a lot of fun, even if the final boss can be a fruitcake with its third form.

With this game garnering a lot of hype and attention, a lot of folks still beg the question:  “What the hell is a Tatsunoko?”  To help out a little bit, I threw together a quick YouTube playlist with the opening animations of the series these characters come from.  Not only does it give you a better idea of where these characters came from, but also the evolution of Tatsunoko Pro as a studio over the years.
