Pineconeattack, or PCA is a semi-collaborative effort of sheer idiocy, perpetrated on teh interbutts for our own sick amusement, with articles about gaming, pop culture/fad and anything we find funny.
Seriously, escape while you can.

A big gaming congrats to our own Decepticreep and his (patient) wife, who are now proud parents of a lovely daughter. Physical proof that you can be the nerdiest game collecting, Magic card playing, Transformer’s buying guy in the world with a heinous beard, and still get your tip wet.
Godspeed proud warrior!

We’ve all heard about Microsoft’s new Project Natal and the implications it could have upon gaming as we know it. Much is known about Project Natal, but questions still remain. As amazing as Natal may or may not be, the folks over at GameTank TV were given special access to try the sequel to the unreleased [...]

Through various searchings around the web, I came across Unseen64, which is a site I forget about until I find it again. The whole site keep track of and finds new info about the various betas of released titles and stuff that never saw the light of day, for various reasons.
Perusing through the site, I came across an intriguing find: a possible Zelda 2 remake beta for the Super Famicom. It looks like, for the longest time, it was believed to be a beta for a release on the Satellaview, the satellite add-on/game service Nintendo ran in Japan throughout the latter half of the 1990′s. It seemed possible, since The Legend of Zelda saw an graphically upgraded port on the Satellaview service. At least, this was the accepted theory for a while, since all that existed was a single screen-shot that could not be traced back to the magazine of origin.
Fairly recently, though, some new information surfaced about it. As it turns out, it wasn’t a Satellaview beta at all. Or even a beta, period. That single screenshot is the only known existing photo from a demonstration Nintendo did in 1988 for the then-upcoming Super Famicom. This was revealed by Chris Covell at Disgruntled Designer; the picture itself comes from an old issue of Weekly Famitsu. The demo was created to show off the fact that the Super Famicom could pull off hiragana and Kanji, something the Famicom really couldn’t do.

So after playing the Resistance 2 Beta for a week I have to say this game has great potential. I immediately jumped into the 60 player frag matches but sadly I dislike my first impression of the game. Resistance 2 looks nice but the competitive maps felt generic and boring, this is no Call of Duty 4. Surprisingly, it didn’t feel too chaotic and after playing the competitive mode for a couple of hours, I know I would not be buying this game, that was until I tried the 8 players co-op. This is where the beta shined brightly. After playing the co-op for less than 10 minutes I fell in love with this game and began to appreciated the potential awesomeness of Resistance 2.

So here was the plan:
Wake up @ 0500 and download the Halo 3 beta
Proceed in the beta and write a small article about my experience
Within the article, make fun of Tenno because he never bought the cheap Asian copy of Crackdown with the guarantied beta invite
So I woke up at 0500 and no Halo [...]
I’ve got good news and bad news.
Good News….If you bought Crackdown for the Halo 3 Multiplayer Beta it’s going to begin at 5 a.m. PDT on May 16 and run for three weeks, until June 6.
Bad News…If you bought Crackdown for the Halo 3 Mutliplayer Beta, you are a complete and total gimpwad.
So many [...]
The only reason I’m even writing about this deal @ Play-Asia is because:
1. Crackdown is a fun open sandbox style of game with good graphics and just plain fun to blow things up.
2. $29.99 for an Xbox 360 game is a steal
3. The region free Asian version has the better cover with funny anime Tetsuo/Lupin the 3rd love child [...]
