While I’ve never been into otaku conventions, it was brought up to my attention from PCA user ZeroSnake that on May 21-23, there will be an anime convention of sorts to celebrate your inner nerd. The website is vague to say the least but from what I’ve been able to gather there will anime, manga, comics, [...]

We all know that Mirage Studios sold the rights of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to Viacom a few months back and Viacom had a clause stating that Mirage Studios could publish up to 15 comics a year for, I don’t know how many years.

Or

Comic Con 2009 Recap (A Very Long Overdue Recap)

July 23rd, 2009 marked my first trip to San Diego, California. Why? So I could attend the largest comic book convention in the US. I didn’t go for the recommended four days, but that didn’t matter. I got a full experience just from attending Friday and Saturday.

I began my preparations by renting a car. There was no way in hell my J’onn (a 1994 Ford Taurus) was going to make the 6-hour drive, so I ended up with an upgrade from my original reservation: a Dodge Caliber. I drove the egg-shaped vehicle into California, tearing through Barstow and Riverside.

When I arrived at my hotel in San Diego, I was nearly choked by the humidity. I checked in and took the time to relax and wait for my con-going buddies to call me. By the time we got to hang out, the sun was setting. And since I was on the top floor of my hotel, I decided to snap a photo.

Toei Spider-Man? On Marvel.com?

Indeed.  Marvel, if you can hear me, put this fucking box set out.  Nao.

Beware, ads play before it sometimes. I hate ads.

Edit: As indicated by this YouTube video, Marvel plans on airing episodes through their website every Thursday. Right on, I say. But, seriously, I want this on DVD over [...]

Who Watches The Watchmen? I Do.

pcawatchmen.jpg

Last Tuesday, actually. I was just too lazy to actually write about it. But, really, what is there to discuss?

Actually, I probably should discuss it, shouldn’t I? Otherwise, what’s the point of even writing? Beware, for spoilers follow the break, for those who have spent the last 22 years in some kind of stasis field. And I’m not going to bother going over the entire story. If you have read the book, you should know. If you haven’t, go read it or see the movie, then come back here to read.
