I had to post this, just due to how well done it is and the choice of music. It’s some nice moments captured in time, especially the reactions shown of people watching the matches. Just cool stuff, in my opinion.

EVO 2010 from richhhard [...] Premiered at Evo2k10 on July 11th, 2010 edited by soundtrack This is talented stuff my friends. Stuff [...] It was a great match between Daigo Umehara (Ryu) vs Ricky Ortiz (Rufus). The matches were close but Daigo was about to take the tournament with a 3-1 victory over Ricky Ortiz. Enjoy the video below, while it last. –Jangofatt Living up to the reputation of being Sin City’s Most Vicious, Decepticreep, Game Repair Sean, Baldy, Tenno, Jedah Doma and Jangofatt tried to discuss the joys of EVO 2010. We are the world’s best double rainbow podcast! Recording back on our old day but at a new time, I’m blaming this for being a bit ‘testy’ as [...] EVO started today and all I was concern about was getting my Rival Schools board up and working for players to enjoy. At an unfavorable last minute decision, the final instructions came and we were only allowed to bring 2 arcade machines instead of the original promised 4. The choices were easy to make. My big heavy purple cab had to stay in the garage while the two smaller cabinets had to represent the Las Vegas crew. I could go on and on about it not being fair but ultimately the verdict came from the top and we were just happy to comply with fan request with Rival School running on the Sega Astro City and Magical Drop 3 & Matrimelee running on the mini Neo-Geo 2 slot cab. Continue reading EVO 2010: Day 1 EVO starts today and if you are to in Vegas you too can enjoy the fighting frenzy with the 45 hour live stream brought to you by G4TV. Head over here for the live stream. Well, I’m off to EVO to give the local cab owners a helping hand with the 2 allotted cabs that we [...] With fighting fever at an all time high and EVO 2010 is just around the corner, I have been receiving numerous emails asking the same question: “Which joystick should I get?” Now instead of constantly repeating myself I figure it would be a perfect time to break down the four more common easily attainable joysticks that you can easily find in North America. I don’t want to bog down this list with the plethora of Chinese, Korean & Japanese exclusive joysticks and variants because most of you probably have no care about them. I’ve broken down the list into three categories of cheap, moderate and expensive that can easily be found on Amazon, Game Stop or whatever domestic gaming shop and I hope this article will answer most of your questions and will help you on your way towards that perfect stick. It’s in sunny ass Las Vegas, like normal. Why? ’cause Vegas is awesome! We’ll be there. We’ll be bringing machines for people to play on. We’ll be taking pictures and interviewing people. We’ll be sponsoring someone whose in the Super Street Fighter 4 matches (and you better fucking win…). We’ll be buying exclusive Meatbun EVO shirts. We’ll be all like, cursing and drinking and shit. We’ll maybe probably not even close fuck you I’ll make them this time! No fuck that. Liar! EAT SHIT! MAYBE even make some PCA special shirts for the event. Want one? Better hope I finish Bizzaro’s first! Or else I’d be mean as shit to make more of anything! Want one? Make a great argument for me to waste my time doing so. Then hand me cash! We both win! - Tenno Because you can’t have PINCONEVOATTACK! without EVO! Remember:
Jedah Doma, Decepticreep, Jangofatt and Baldy touch on our home arcade memories from Jango’s first crappy machine to the short run with NFL Blitz to the groups current love for SNK’s MVS setup. Decepticreep lightly touches on the age-old comparison of American joysticks vs. Japanese sticks. Learn about how JAMMA (Japan Amusement Machinery Manufacturers Association) standardized the arcade industry while also condemning them to mediocrity and Jango goes on and on about his love of the MVS (Multi Video System) setup. Hopefully, there are some interesting tidbits of info on how to start your own personal arcade machine on the cheap while learning about which popular boards have suicide batteries. Of course we touch on the advantages and disadvantages of having a personal arcade and why Decepticreep wants Jango to build him a SuperGun and why Jango hates Neo-Geo ports. We hope you find this episode informative enough for you to start your own home arcade. Continue reading Pinekast #52: Arcade Collecting 101 |
