Pineconeattack, or PCA is a semi-collaborative effort of sheer idiocy, perpetrated on teh interbutts for our own sick amusement, with articles about gaming, pop culture/fad and anything we find funny. Seriously, escape while you can.

Game of the Month: August

Modern War Gear

Ghost & Snake as they team up to over take an evil terrorist organization “ActivistSun.” Yeah, it’s pretty funny and I’m still trying to figure out how I missed out on these the first time around.

Check out Beat Down Boogie’s blog for more info on their parody series and also learn how to make sweet props like breakable plates.

PCA vs. CGE!

Last weekend we had a chance to stop by the newly invigorated Classic Gaming Expo – a glorification of everything retro, retroesque or just plain classic in video gaming. Though this means we saw way more Pacman shirts then we normally do…

It’s time to update some of my sticks

I noticed that I’ve been accumulating a few more sticks and I’m at the point now that it’s time to personalize them and give them that old Pineconeattack hurrah. One thing I hate more than anything is being an owner of a generic run of a mill mass-produced joystick. For the love of Mike, Madcatz and Hori has made it so damn easy to replace the artwork on these sticks, I still don’t understand why more people are not doing just that! It really did annoy me seeing so many generic sticks at EVO this year. I would be too damn afraid of having my stick stolen and have no recourse since most sticks just looks like every other damn stick. Whatever, I digress…

Tenno goes to EVO… Day 2

HERE BE EVO!

So I went to EVO for about an hour.

Yup. Just one. And for a bunch of you, you’re probably all like, ‘Whoaaaaaa there Tenno! You were at the gaming Mecca of Las Vegas! You fricking live there even! WHAT THE! HELL!’

Hey baby, I’m a rolling stone. And by that I mean that even aside from all that awesome gaming on hand, I just am not that big of a fighting game guy to geek out properly at events like this. Literally I was melting the second I walked in -Hey Caesar’s Palace! A little A/C here! – and already ready to go. This shit just isn’t for me.

Pictured: Shit that isn't for me.

Just a reminder: EVO 2010 is almost here…

It’s in sunny ass Las Vegas, like normal. Why? ’cause Vegas is awesome!

We’ll be there.

We’ll be bringing machines for people to play on.

We’ll be taking pictures and interviewing people.

We’ll be sponsoring someone whose in the Super Street Fighter 4 matches (and you better fucking win…).

We’ll be buying exclusive Meatbun EVO shirts.

We’ll be all like, cursing and drinking and shit.

We’ll maybe probably not even close fuck you I’ll make them this time! No fuck that. Liar! EAT SHIT! MAYBE even make some PCA special shirts for the event. Want one? Better hope I finish Bizzaro’s first! Or else I’d be mean as shit to make more of anything! Want one? Make a great argument for me to waste my time doing so. Then hand me cash! We both win!

Because you can’t have PINCONEVOATTACK! without EVO!

Micosoft Unveils New Xbox 360 Redesign

The net is calling it the ‘Slim’. I’m calling it sexy.

Microsoft pulled a Sega this year by unveiling the newly design Xbox 360 console which should hit store shelves this Friday. Megaton shocker! The rumors of a redesign Xbox 360 have been circulated all year but no one was expecting it [...]

Super Street Fighter IV Marathon

After picking up my copy of Super Street Fighter IV and playing some with Decepticreep & Baldy, I’ve come to a new appreciation to one of Capcom’s greatest franchise. I was super excited about the reboot of the Street Fighter franchise and was pleasantly surprised that my skills in Super Street Fighter II Turbo [...]

Turtle Beach Headset Review: Ear Force X1

After busting my ass with my day job and scoring some extra cash, I decided it was a perfect time to treat myself to something I would never buy otherwise: a high quality gaming headset. I was getting tired of my wireless headset and I needed a way to enjoy my games LOUD without waking up the Mrs. or the neighbors. Turning down the surround sound was not an option so the next obvious step was to pick up headphones that also doubles up as a headset. (GENEUS!) So after a quick Google search, I found a headset that was just what I was looking for.

The Turtle Beach Ear Force X1 is a USB powered stereo headphone that plugs into the stereo RCA jacks between the Xbox 360 and TV. Once connected, pure audio joy will pump directly into your ear canals. With a volume control located on the headphone, I can control how loud or quite I need the game’s audio to be and to enable the Xbox Live chat, all you need to do is plug in the provided wire and plug into the back of the controller. Super Late Mass Effect Review

As I’ve mentioned a time or two, I am a bit of a Bioware fanboy. I used to chug along to Baldur’s Gate with my massive Pentium 200, and its 64MB of RAM and 8 meg vidcard back in the bad old days. I still rate Neverwinter Nights as a vastly superior multiplayer game than World of Warcraft (even if WoW finally finished it off and stole my hard earned bucks in the process). I beat KotOR 2 six times just to beat it with every posible Jedi combination. It really should be no surprise that the first games I picked up for my 360 were Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect.

Wii Energizer Induction Charge Station Review

One of my major complaints about the Wii is that fact that the damn controllers zap the hell out of my batteries. I’ve tried the rechargeable batteries route but they always seem to drain when the controllers are not in use. I’ve avoided the conventional rechargers because they are mostly cheap looking and most [...]
