Lazy Sunday: Marvel vs Capcom 3 vids…

Okay, Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is looking better and better each day.  I’ve been mostly ignoring the game since we are all going to have to wait till next year, but these vids are giving me a stiffy, if you know what I mean…

It’s time to update some of my sticks

I noticed that I’ve been accumulating a few more sticks and I’m at the point now that it’s time to personalize them and give them that old Pineconeattack hurrah. One thing I hate more than anything is being an owner of a generic run of a mill mass-produced joystick. For the love of Mike, Madcatz and Hori has made it so damn easy to replace the artwork on these sticks, I still don’t understand why more people are not doing just that! It really did annoy me seeing so many generic sticks at EVO this year. I would be too damn afraid of having my stick stolen and have no recourse since most sticks just looks like every other damn stick. Whatever, I digress…

Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Impressions

It’s not a hidden fact that I was a Marvel vs. Capcom 2 hater for a long time. This was for various reasons, but it really was molded by the fact that I hung around too many people that bashed it and I ended up falling in that line. For the past year and a half, though, I’ve grown to really like it. Sure, it’s competitive scene houses some real dumb-asses and the game itself has issues, but it’s just a lot of damn fun. With myself growing to enjoy it more and more, it made me really excited to see that Marvel vs. Capcom 3 would finally become a reality over a decade after MvC2 hit arcades.

Review: Which Joystick Should You Get?

With fighting fever at an all time high and EVO 2010 is just around the corner, I have been receiving numerous emails asking the same question:

“Which joystick should I get?”

Now instead of constantly repeating myself I figure it would be a perfect time to break down the four more common easily attainable joysticks that you can easily find in North America. I don’t want to bog down this list with the plethora of Chinese, Korean & Japanese exclusive joysticks and variants because most of you probably have no care about them. I’ve broken down the list into three categories of cheap, moderate and expensive that can easily be found on Amazon, Game Stop or whatever domestic gaming shop and I hope this article will answer most of your questions and will help you on your way towards that perfect stick.

Gundemonium Collection for PS3. Get it.

A collection of three cool doujin games, GundeadliGne, and Hitogata Happa, have made their debut on the PLAYSTATION 3 today in one nice collection called: Gundemonium Recollection.  For only $5.99 each or the whole set for $14.99, Gundemonium Recollection is a must buy for the shooter staved PS3 owner. For fan [...]

Child of Eden (aka Rez 2) Will Support Controllers

I didn’t want to poo poo on Tetsuya Mizuguchi’s Child of Eden just base off of the video but why, why is it being played with stupid motion controls ala ‘Kinect’ for the Xbox 360 and ‘Move’ for the PS3? No matter how much either companies try to spin their newest motion controls, [...]

Project Shaft EA

Burn Baby Burn

I’ve taken a vow of gaming celibacy. I shall not eat from the vine of new EA games. This is my little way of fighting the man and protesting Project Ten Dollar (T3H DR4MA!). From now on, if I want an EA game, I’m buying it used.

Now I heart me some Battlefield. First it was Bad Company and now 1943. In my opinion, DICE is the tops when it comes to first person shooters, especially now that Infinity Ward is a rotting corpse. After logging in over 140 combined hours in Battlefield 1943, both Erik and I have a hankering for something new. Behold Battlefield Bad Company 2. Another great Battlefield game. But as fate would have it, the Battlefield series is published by EA. Being a man of my word, I stuck to my guns and bought it used.

Though not from Gamestop, not from a used game store, not from any store whatsoever, but in fact from a random guy on Craigslist for $25. Score one for the good guys. No sale for Gamestop and money directly to the consumer. There’s a twist though! People who purchase the game new received a DLC card known as a VIP code. This code allows you to download maps packs for free. What if you don’t buy the game new? Well, you’ve got to buy to pony up $15 to get a VIP code from EA.

Oh snippity-snap, looks like I’m screwed. Or am I……. Continue reading Project Shaft EA

(Contra) Hard Corps: Uprising Announcement

So in an effort to build hype, Konami is unveiling some cool info on the new Contra game that’s no longer actually named Contra. Yep, the spiritual sequel to the Sega Genesis’ only Contra game, Contra: Hard Corps, is getting a sequel made by my new favorite studio: Arc System Works, the studio behind the [...]

Quick Bit: Super Street Fighter IV is Out Today

So last night at midnight I picked up my pre-order copy of Super Street Fighter IV, and let me tell you…awww yeah, it’s fucking sweet. I only played through the arcade mode once on medium with Dudley since he was the only one of the Street Fighter III characters brought over that I ever [...]

Kevin Butler makes me laugh: God of War 3

Sorry ladies, but for the next few days every single PS3 owner will be ignoring you for Kratos. Call it a man [...]
