Pineconeattack, or PCA is a semi-collaborative effort of sheer idiocy, perpetrated on teh interbutts for our own sick amusement, with articles about gaming, pop culture/fad and anything we find funny.
Seriously, escape while you can.

Last weekend we had a chance to stop by the newly invigorated Classic Gaming Expo – a glorification of everything retro, retroesque or just plain classic in video gaming. Though this means we saw way more Pacman shirts then we normally do…

Okay, the more I’m watching videos on Mass Effect 2 the more I really want this game. This little snippet has almost seal the deal for me. It makes me wonder if I should just skip the first game all together and just jump into the sequel, since the shooting mechanic has been fixed.

Probably one of my more anticipated PSP games of the year, Half-Minute Hero is definitely the one game that can be define as must buy game for the A.D.D. gamer. It’s an RPG that must be defeated in a 30 second time limit and it seems to embrace the Y’s run and slam game mechanic or so I think… Continue reading Half-Minute Hero looks intriguing.
Huh, I wasn’t expecting to see this game eventually be released but never this soon. For those who don’t know, Final Fantasy VII, for many, was the gateway drug toward a wonderful world of video role playing games. I’m not sure if i can group myself into the über fan of FF7 but it was a great game for it’s time and I’m looking forward to Final Fantasy XIII for either my Xbox 360 or PS3.
For those who never played Final Fantasy VII you will be in for a treat, just remember, Sephiroth is a dick, the main character is a psychopath with tendencies towards dissociative identity disorder, a crappy kick boxing love interest who fuels your delusions, a flower girl who dies, a wanna-be Mr. T with a machine gun for a hand, a talking cat, moogle doll, an under age ninja lolita & a vampire who not really worth the extra time to unlock and Cid are all on a quest to inbreed giant chickens while an meteor is on a crash course towards the rock that you are living on. Somewhere in the mix there is a moral to the story about how industrialism and technology is bad for the environment yet a flying ship is what saved you team’s sorry ass from being crushed to death inside a hole in the mountain.
Oh yeah, somewhere there I guess I should have written spoilers. Fuck you, you have over 12 years to play through this game and this is what you get for waiting so long. If you want to play through this game again or you are still interested in trying it out then download it at the PlayStation Network via your PS3, PSP or PC whenever it goes live.

Here are the facts (ie: Jango’s opinions which should be facts).
SNK is awesome and produced, developed and distributed some of the world’s greatest arcade and home console games from my youth. There is a big following of all things SNK and Neo-Geo.com is the forum site to prove it because a user by the [...]

We are in a time and place where the gaming industry is at its prime and there are tons of new releases coming each and every week. There are just oodles and oodles of new games that are almost impossible for a consumer and keep track of them all. The only way to know what game is good and what is garbage is good old fashion word of mouth and that’s the one thing I love about our hobby. I haven’t seen an ad, video or screen shot of Super Robot Taisen OG Saga Endless Frontier until I read about it on my favorite forum. It was word of mouth that made me do my quickie research which made me realize that this might be a great game to play.
I’m glad I did.

Ohhh, HD…
This game looks so pretty and the main character still looks like a girl. Oh wait, this time it is a girl. Sorry, my mistake.

Let me start this out saying I figured out something on the iPhone apps store; any game that has “lite” in the title is basically a demo. Having said that, I downloaded Crystal Defenders by Square Enix on my iPhone.
It’s a tower defense game, which I like… but I’m not very good at. From what I read, a lot of people compare this game to Final Fantasy Tactics, which I don’t really see. It has a similar art style, but it’s a tower defense game much in the lieu of Pixel Junk Monsters. Instead of using cannons and what not, you use things from the Final Fantasy universe.

Very few RPG’s can grab hold of my flighty attention like Suikoden does. For the time this PlayStation RPG broke the mold by not being the usual cliché coming of age story of an unknown villager but quickly shifts to a very thrilling interesting political drama where you the hero must stand up against King and country to right the wrong of an evil Empire. The hero eventually was merged with the cursed death rune, which permanently bonded onto his hand and is forced into hiding after being declared as a traitor. While in hiding, the hero and his servants soon learns of the corruption of the Empire and eventually decided to rebel against it which unfortunately meant going against your own father who still has loyalties to the Empire. Knowing that the hero was unable to fight the Empire, he focuses on building an army and in 2 year time recruits the 108 warriors who are known as the 108 Stars of Destiny, loosely base on the classical Chinese novels ShuÇhÇ” Zhuà n, and build an army to overthrow the corrupt regime.
