It’s that time for some Kung-Fu chop saki action for the Xbawks & PC. Yep, it’s the GOTM show for Jade Empire. Due to Baldy not being available to record the 79thn episode of the Pinekast, Tenno decided to push back the GOTM show and record another amazing show on Monday. I spend the next several days hacking away at this show to finally reveal the shiny gem inside. In this week’s show we discuss how I completed a seven hour power session and was able to beat the game. So after the “what you’ve been playing” segment, the show pretty much was reduced to the Baldy & Jango show with a sprinkle of Tenno here and there. Not wanting to belittle the other members, but fuck them. They didn’t finish the game! Mwahahahaha! Hey, let me enjoy this very rare moment. It’s not every month that I’m able to beat a damn GOTM game, especially an RPG! Decepticreep was unable to make it onto the show because this week he was waiting for a very special person to enter into this fantastic world. Fast forward to today: Decepticreep and his lovely wife finally had their baby today. For the record, I decided to dedicate this episode to my newest niece, Lucy. (Would that make her a Decpeticreep-ette?) Because one day, with the wisdom and guidance of Decepticreep and some help from myself, Lucy will hopefully learn to appreciated the finer things in life like long power sessions just so you can complain about a 5 year old game with some friends on a fake radio show or at very least learn to love cartridges. Yeah… :/ Anyways, Jade Empire. It’s a half finished mess by Bioware. It don’t hate it but I don’t exactly love it either. By very definition it’s mediocre. Whatever. Join Jangofatt, Tenno, Baldy, Jedah Doma and a very special guest for our dissection as we enter the fictitious world of Jade Empire. So I went to EVO for about an hour. Yup. Just one. And for a bunch of you, you’re probably all like, ‘Whoaaaaaa there Tenno! You were at the gaming Mecca of Las Vegas! You fricking live there even! WHAT THE! HELL!’ Hey baby, I’m a rolling stone. And by that I mean that even aside from all that awesome gaming on hand, I just am not that big of a fighting game guy to geek out properly at events like this. Literally I was melting the second I walked in -Hey Caesar’s Palace! A little A/C here! – and already ready to go. This shit just isn’t for me.  Pictured: Shit that isn't for me.
EVO started today and all I was concern about was getting my Rival Schools board up and working for players to enjoy. At an unfavorable last minute decision, the final instructions came and we were only allowed to bring 2 arcade machines instead of the original promised 4. The choices were easy to make. My big heavy purple cab had to stay in the garage while the two smaller cabinets had to represent the Las Vegas crew. I could go on and on about it not being fair but ultimately the verdict came from the top and we were just happy to comply with fan request with Rival School running on the Sega Astro City and Magical Drop 3 & Matrimelee running on the mini Neo-Geo 2 slot cab.
