Can we talk about the slow reveal of images on early websites?
Watching a picture load line by line was a test of patience. It hit me that we valued content more when it took time to appear. Did slow connections change your view on digital content?

Man, that slow load taught me real patience. I'd leave the computer to make a snack and come back to see if it finished. We definitely waited for content instead of just clicking away.

How many snacks did you burn through waiting?

Remember how that slow load built a weird kind of suspense? It made a simple picture feel like an event you were part of, not just something you saw. That feeling of waiting together for the reveal is totally gone now.
