Figured out that thing where you type 'cd..' twice fast to jump two directories in DOS
After getting lost in my dad's old Windows 3.1 file system trying to find DOOM2.exe for like 20 minutes, I accidentally hit the up arrow twice and realized you can just press F3 to repeat the last command instead of typing it all over again.

Seems like half of life's little tricks are just accidental discoveries you stumble on when you're frustrated. Funny how that keeps happening - bump into one shortcut and it opens the door to wondering what else you've been missing.

That's pretty much how I figure out anything useful too. Half the time it's out of pure frustration that I end up accidentally solving a problem I've been avoiding for weeks. My proudest discovery was finding out you can restart a stuck microwave by just unplugging it and waiting ten seconds, which I only learned after angrily yanking the cord out of the wall.
