Found a Geocities page from 1996 that's still running somehow

Found one from 1999 that still had the guestbook working. Someone had left a message like 3 days before I found it back in 2018. Crazy how people kept signing it for years. The page was for someones pet lizard with midi files that still played and everything. Best part was the construction gif that never finished.

Used to roll my eyes at people getting nostalgic about old geocities sites, but finding one that's still running that raw is something else. The construction gif that never finishes is the real time capsule, everyone who saw it back then knew that feeling of waiting for something that might never load. Makes you wonder if the lizard's owner even remembers the page is still out there chugging along with its midi files.
