Found a gardening forum that hasn't updated since 2008 but still has active comment replies
I was looking up how to deal with powdery mildew on my squash plants last night and stumbled on this forum called GardenTalkOnline. The last post from the admin was from 2008 talking about their server upgrade plans that never happened. But people are still commenting on threads from 2005 asking if the original poster ever solved their tomato blight problem. It's kind of wild seeing someone reply to a question from 17 years ago like the person might still be around. Has anyone else found an old forum where the community just never moved on?

Find the most recent active commenter on any thread and ask them directly if they're still checking replies. Usually someone is running the place from the backend even if the front page looks dead. I lurk on a 2009 vintage tractor forum like that, and the regulars still answer within a day or two.

That 2009 vintage tractor forum @rosejackson mentioned sounds exactly like the kind of place I'd end up on. I read somewhere that a lot of these older forums survive because the regulars just don't care about fancy new layouts, they just want to talk about their specific hobby. It's kind of nice honestly, like finding a little time capsule that still has people living in it.
