Found a geocities page from 1998 about how to clean a VCR head, still works

I tried the isopropyl alcohol and a folded paper towel trick from that page on my old Sony VCR last week and it actually fixed the tracking, anyone else still holding onto tape gear?

Ngl, I kinda disagree - those old methods were a quick fix but they can actually wear down the heads over time if you're not careful.
