Had a random email exchange with the guy who made a Geocities fan site for a canceled 90s cartoon

I found this old site about a show called Road Rovers that only aired for like 13 episodes lol. Emailed the guy who built it and he told me he coded the whole thing in Notepad back in 1998 and just never bothered to take it down. Anyone else ever contact the creator of an abandoned site and get a reply?

Oh man, that's wild. I used to think people who left up old Geocities sites were just lazy or forgot their passwords. But hearing he coded it in Notepad and just kept it up as a time capsule kinda changed my mind. There's something cool about a piece of internet history just sitting there untouched, like a digital fossil from when people made stuff for fun.
