I thought this old site about 90s video game rumors was a hoax

Found a Geocities page called 'Nintendo Secrets' that looked fake, but it had a specific cheat code for a Japanese version of Chrono Trigger I'd never seen. Has anyone else stumbled onto an abandoned site that actually had legit info buried in it?

That old cheat code site was probably run by a bored game tester.

Remember when you'd print out pages of those codes? My dad's printer ink was never the same.

Oh man, that's exactly what my buddy Chris went through. He was trying to print out a whole strategy guide for GoldenEye from some random fansite, and his dad's old inkjet just started making this horrible grinding noise halfway through page 10. The cartridges were those refillable ones that always leaked a little, and I swear to this day his dad still finds little blue smudges on the kitchen table. He finally had to take the bus to the library just to finish printing the rest, and even then the librarian gave him this look like he was committing some kind of crime with all those pages. Good times.
