My kid asked why an old fan site for a mall in Ohio still updates its counter, and I didn't have an answer
My 11 year old was looking over my shoulder at a Geocities page for the North Towne Mall in Toledo that hasn't had a real update since 2001. She pointed at the hit counter and asked who keeps clicking it if nobody runs the site. I clicked it myself, and the number went up by one, which means it still works after all this time. Then she asked if the person who made it is dead, and I had to say I don't know. Now I'm wondering if the counter is just counting me and three other people who check it every few weeks. Does anyone else have a site like this they visit just to make the number move?
