Stumbled on a 2003 fan site for a band that never made it big

I was looking up an old song and found this site called 'Sonic Pulse Fan Hub' that's still online. It has a guestbook from 2005, a page of MIDI files, and a broken image counter. The last news post is from 2007 saying 'album coming soon!' but the band broke up in 2008. It's a total time capsule of that old web design with tables and animated GIFs. Has anyone else found a fan site for a group that just vanished?

Oh man, that's the best kind of internet archaeology. I love finding those old sites that feel frozen in time, like a digital ghost town.

My high school's 2002 homepage still has a guestbook full of inside jokes.

That "digital ghost town" thing is exactly what my friend Sarah found when she stumbled on her middle school's website from like 2001. It was still up and running somehow, with this bright yellow background and animated clip art of a waving hand. She got all nostalgic and started reading the guestbook entries, which were basically 13 year olds making jokes about Mr. Thompson's toupee and that one weird smell in the science room. But what really got me was she found a message from her old best friend who moved away in 8th grade, saying "I'll miss you, call me later!" with a phone number that probably doesn't even work anymore. She actually tried calling it just for fun and got some confused pizza place.
