Stumbled onto a 2003 site that still has a 'coming soon' page for a movie that came out 20 years ago
I was looking for info on an old film and clicked a link that led to a fan site frozen in time. The main page had a countdown clock for the movie's release, which was in 2004, and it was still ticking down. Has anyone else found a site stuck on a promise that was never kept?

Wait, that countdown clock is probably just broken code.

Wasn't there a site for a band's tour that never happened? I found one still selling tickets for a 2008 show, payment link and all. The internet is full of these ghost promises.

My friend actually tried to buy tickets from one of those old dead sites back in 2017 for a 2009 tour that OBVIOUSLY never happened. @noahhernandez is right about the countdown clock being broken code, but the payment link still worked somehow and it charged her card. She never got the tickets obviously, had to dispute it with the bank.
