The old Geocities webring on my first site still links to pages that died in 2003

Tbh I keep checking that webring every few months and it's wild how those 14 sites from 1998 are all still listed, but half of them now redirect to spam pages, and I'm curious if anyone else has a fossil like that they can't bring themselves to delete.

Whoa, hold on. I actually think that's kind of the beauty of it, man. Those dead links and spam redirects are like a time capsule of the internet's messy decay, way more honest than the polished stuff we have now. If you delete the webring, you're basically erasing the history of how janky and weird the web used to be, and that's kinda priceless in its own way. I say keep it up as long as you can, let it rot in public. It's a real artifact, not just a nostalgic shrine.
