Vent: The counter on the Milo town site has been at 3,482 for 17 years
I was poking around the old Milo, Maine community page and noticed their hit counter is still frozen at exactly 3,482 visits with a little "last updated 2007" note at the bottom. That number has not moved since the original webmaster stopped paying the host, and it kind of bugs me that nobody ever reset it. The guestbook is full of messages from 2006 asking about a missing cat named Pepper, and it is still accepting new entries somehow. Has anyone else run into a dead site where one tiny stat just sits there like a bug in amber?
