Paid $35 for a Facebook ad that showed me a raccoon eating spaghetti, and it somehow worked
Saw this weird ad for a pasta brand last week. Just a raccoon in a tiny chef hat slurping noodles. No logo until the last second. I clicked it on purpose because it made me laugh. Cost them $35 per thousand views or whatever and now I have three boxes of their sauce in my pantry. What is the dumbest ad you actually bought something from?
Bought a $12 bottle of hot sauce because the ad was just a guy in a chicken suit staring at the camera for 30 seconds saying nothing. That was 2019 and I still order it every few months. The trick is they never show the product until the end, so you sit there confused and then boom, you're on their site. $35 is cheap for a click that actually converts, most brands blow way more than that on ads nobody remembers.
