That 3 a.m. ad for a $14 cat window perch got me, and I'm not sorry

I kept seeing this goofy cat perch ad with a chonky orange tabby sprawled on a glass shelf, and normally I scroll past pet stuff in 2 seconds. But a friend of mine, who trains service dogs for a living, said something last week that stuck with me: ads work when they show a solution you didn't know you needed, not a product you were already shopping for. My cat has been staring at the squirrel feeder outside my kitchen window for 6 months, and I just assumed she was being dramatic. So I clicked, dropped $14, and bolted that thing to the glass on Tuesday. She hasn't left it except for food and litter, and now I'm wondering how many other annoying habits are just missing pieces of furniture. Has anyone else gotten reeled in by a random pet ad that actually solved a behavior problem, or is my cat just spoiled?
