That fake "out of stock" countdown ad actually got me last Tuesday

I was scrolling around midnight and saw a camping gear ad claiming only 3 units left of a lantern I didn't even need, so I clicked just to laugh at the gimmick. Then the timer hit zero while I was reading the reviews and the price jumped $14, which felt oddly personal. Has anyone else fallen for one of those fake urgency tricks, or do you just scroll past them?
