That obscure supplement ad from a podcast finally got me after 3 listens

Kept hearing the same magnesium brand sponsor on a mechanics podcast, figured it was all hype. Tried a generic store bottle first, nothing. Paid the $28 for their version after my leg cramps at 2am got bad, and it actually worked within a week. Anyone else cave to an ad they mocked for months, only to be proven wrong?

Did it actually work, or did your body just sort itself out on its own timeline? I've been burned too many times by "premium" versions of basic minerals, and magnesium is one of the easiest things to get from food if you eat decently. A handful of almonds, some spinach, maybe a banana, and you're covered. I'm not saying your leg cramps weren't real or that the stuff is useless, but $28 for a month of something you could get from a bag of trail mix feels like the podcast did its job on you, honestly. My uncle swore by some $40 turmeric blend for his knees, then we found out he was just walking more because he felt guilty about spending the money. Placebo is a hell of a drug, and sometimes that's all it takes.
