The 43-second ad for a paint sprayer I actually finished watching
I was scrolling YouTube last Saturday morning and this random ad for a handheld paint sprayer came on. It wasn't even a brand I'd heard of, but the guy just sprayed a whole fence in like 20 seconds flat without any tape or masking. I clicked because I've got a 12-foot fence line in my backyard in Akron that I've been putting off for two summers. Turns out the ad was right about how fast it works, but the cleanup took me almost an hour because I didn't read the part about thinning the paint first. Anyone else ever fall for a tool ad that nailed the demo but skipped the messy details?

Man thats hilarious but also painful cause Ive been there. I bought one of those mini paint rollers from a late night infomercial and the demo showed this chick painting a whole room in like 3 minutes flat. Yeah sure, if you dont mind paint dripping down your arm and having to scrub your elbows with mineral spirits for an hour after. The ad never shows the part where you gotta basically become a chemist to mix the paint right or the 25 minute soak in warm soapy water just to get the spray tip unclogged. Honestly at this point Im convinced the guy in the ad has a crew of invisible helpers off screen. But hey at least your fence got painted, mine ended up looking like a polka dot disaster cause I got impatient.
