Am I the only one who stopped letting AI pick my news feed?

I used to rely on AI to choose what articles I saw every day. It kept feeding me the same type of content all the time. I actually missed a local election update because the system decided it wasn't for me. So I switched it off and now I manually visit a few different news sites. My perspective has broadened so much since I took back control. Letting a bot shape your view of the world is a bad idea, period.
