Am I the only one who switched from manually captioning videos to using AI?
I used to spend like 2 hours typing out captions for my HVAC repair videos, but last month I tried a free AI tool that does it in 5 minutes. Has anyone else had issues with the AI missing technical terms like 'condenser' or 'thermostat'?

Yeah that thing about speaking slower and clearer is key. I had a similar issue with my vacuum repair videos where "belt tension" kept coming out as "belt pension" no matter what I did. Finally realized I was mumbling through the technical parts without even noticing.

Yeah the technical terms are where these tools still trip up. I do HVAC too and had the same issue with "condenser" getting turned into "condenser coil" or just flat out wrong. What worked for me was making a simple text file with all the common terms I use and pasting it into the AI prompt before running the caption. Tell it to prioritize that vocabulary. Also I found that speaking a bit slower and clearer into the mic helps the AI catch the words better on the first pass. The time savings are still worth it though even if you gotta spend 2 minutes fixing a few words after.
